Guidelines
Basic Rules
You must be 18+ in order to participate.
Your pieces should be primarily centered on the relationship between Lucifer Morningstar and Alastor from Hazbin Hotel. Other ships are allowed, but please keep in mind the theme of the gift exchange!
Canon divergence and alternate universes are welcomed!
Works that have ben plagiarized, traced, stolen, or generated using AI will not be permitted.
You must be able to communicate with the mods through Discord (preferred), Twitter, or Tumblr. This will be the way the mods will keep track of your progress.
You must be able to stick with our schedule, including check-ins every 2 weeks. If there is an emergency or you need an extension (max 1 week), please inform the mods ASAP.
If you drop out (without good reason) or are removed from the event, you will not be allowed to participate in future exchanges. This may seem harsh, but this is the best way to ensure that gift exchanges run smoothly in the future.
Please do not post your gift prior to the due date. This is so everyone can enjoy their gifts at the same time without getting spoiled!
You must not tell your recipient that you are their giftee until the due date. It’s more fun that way! If you need to ask your giftee a question, a mod can always ask for you.
Writing Rules
If you are writing a fic, you must be willing to commit to writing at least 2k words that follows at least one of the giftees wishes/prompts
You must finish your fic by the due date. This means that if it is a multi-chaptered fic, all chapters must be posted by January 12th.
Fics must be properly tagged and rated. A NSFW fic must be rated E.
Finished fics must be uploaded to our AO3 collection. All writers are required to have an AO3 account.
Your work must be beta read prior to delivery.
Art Rules
The finished piece must be fully rendered (drawn, colored, shaded in your style).
The art piece must follow at least one of the prompts your giftee asked for.
If you decide to make it a comic, all parts must be done by January 12th.

Q: What is a holiday gift exchange?
A: It's exactly what it sounds like! A person who signs up for our gift exchange creates art or a fic for someone they're assigned to as a recipient. In turn, they will receive an art or a fic from someone who is assigned to them as a giftee!Q: How does this work?
A: When sign-ups open, you will be asked to list three prompts you would like to see filled and select if you want to receive art, a fic, or either. Afterwards, you will also fill in details such as triggers or references. Once sign-ups close, the mods will message you the name of your recipient. You will then have about 2 months to create art or a fic that fits one or more of your recipient's prompt. During that time, the person who received you as a recipient will be working on their own gift for you! The finished product can then be posted sometime between December 25th and December 31st!Q: Can I do NSFW for this exchange?
